The Sandcastle Bucket Hat is a bucket-style sunhat that is reversible.
Use woven or knitted materials for it! It offers effective sun protection thanks to its wide brim. Although it is easy to assemble, it does require joining curves, which can be difficult for complete beginners.
Visit the W&W blog to find a guide on how to add a safety chin strap. Additionally, you could create a fantastic rain hat by using materials that are resistant to water. Overall, it's a fantastic pattern for the whole family to wear all year long!
Recommended Fabric: This pattern can be made from most light/medium weight woven (non-stretch) fabrics. Knit fabrics can also be used but will make the finished hat fit a half/one size larger. Different weights and types of fabric will yield different results. Popular choices are quilting weight cotton, poplin and cotton/Lycra jersey. For something a bit different, you can use water-resistant fabric to make a rain hat!
Pattern Format: This is a PDF pattern. Included in your download is an A4 file for at home printing, an A0 File for Copy Shop Printing, Projector files and detailed instruction files.
