A warm, cozy zip jacket with a nod to 90s Brit-pop fashion, the Waves and Wild Park Life!
The Park Life is for children ages 2 to 12. The hood is detachable and fastens with snaps. The fur trim on the hood is detachable. To add shape and insulation, wadding is added. Welt pockets, zip pockets, and patch pockets are all options.
The instructions provide complete details on the acceptable fabrics. Cotton poplin, rip stop, light oil skin, and light denim are available as options for outerwear.

This sewing pattern is for advanced intermediate sewers. Before attempting this pattern, you should be confident sewing through thick layers and inserting zips.
A regular sewing machine is all you need for all options, but an overlocker or serger can be used for many steps.

Available sizes for Age 2 - Age 12. Height from 90cm (35 ½”) to 152cm (60”), Chest from 52cm (20 ½”) to 75cm (29 ½”), Waist from 51cm (21") to 65cm (25 ¾”), and Hip from 54cm (21 ¼”) to 78.5cm (31”)
Skill Level: Intermediate+
Recommended Fabric: Most light/medium weight woven fabrics are suitable. Poplin is a surprisingly good choice - it’s easy to sew and being tightly woven it provides protection against light showers. Heavier woven cotton fabrics such as drill also work well. Lightweight babycord would be suitable but heavier corduroy would be too bulky. For greater water resistance, fabrics such as light oil skin or ripstop are ideal but can be trickier to work with. In the cover photo the yellow coat is light oil skin.
