Boxers and briefs are the two unisex child underwear styles available in the Speedy Pants pattern.
The neatest finish will be produced by an overlocker or serger, but crucially, a sewing machine is all you need for all options.
Both types of Speedy Pants are modest, cozy underwear for kids of all ages and are made in a remarkably short amount of time (hence the name). They require 4 way stretch jersey and are beginner-friendly. They are ideal for utilizing leftover materials and scraps from bigger projects. Although using an overlocker or serger will result in a cleaner, more polished finish, I have also provided instructions for using a standard sewing machine.
Recommended Fabric: Light/medium weight 4 way knit fabric with a minimum of 50% stretch. Cotton/Lycra jersey is ideal. Good stretch and return is especially important for the waistband
