The Child Sundowner Sweatshirt is a raglan sweatshirt with a hi-lo hem and a relaxed fit.
Add piping or pockets. On the older ages, you can also experiment with a drawstring hood and/or hemline.
The neatest finish will be produced by an overlocker or serger, but crucially, a sewing machine is all you need for all options.
The Child Sundowner Sweatshirt is ideal for materials like thin sweatshirting or French terry. Any light- to medium-weight stretch fabric can be used, though.
Recommended Fabric: Most medium-weight knit fabrics. French terry and sweatshirt fleece are ideal. Cotton/Lycra jersey can also be used but being a thinner fabric the end garment will feel a little larger. Fabrics with 50% stretch are recommended. 4 way stretch is best but 2 way stretch will work.
